In January 2018, I set out to make a documentary about Soviet Nonconformist Art. The project was never completed. Since its inception, two of the four artists I interviewed have passed away--Leonid Lamm and Leonid Sokov. I went back to my files, and saw that I had a few non-interview clips from my brief moment with Sokov saved, and put together this very short video to honor his memory. It is rough. It is incomplete. But it is an expression of how I felt in conversation with such a gifted artist and remarkable individual.
