Howdy.
I’m a New York-based director & editor, and currently on the video team at The New Yorker. But before we talk shop…I’m the son of Moldovan immigrants who taught me to love Seinfeld, beet soup, and fuzzy comforters. Here’s a non-exhaustive list of other things that take up my mental real estate: morning workouts, the SNL wig vault, candy corn, the collected works of Ayo Edebiri, making my therapist laugh, and Michael Barbaro’s sympathetic tenor.
These days, I’m directing + editing under my Emmy Award-winning production co. Whimsy. Our first narrative film, Sold Out, is on the 2026 festival circuit, and the studio is also adapting Eliza Clark’s “Nightstalkers” for the screen. I’ve directed thirteen original documentaries for PBS, made branded work for clients like Stripe, NYC Tourism, RED, and Heidi Klum, and cut behind-the-scenes featurettes for films like Sinners, Smile 2, and Didi.
I was previously the Creative Marketing Director at the x2 Academy Award-winning Breakwater Studios, where I oversaw our digital presence and ran two Oscar campaigns for New York Times Op-Docs: The Best Chef in the World and MINK! Before that, I worked in the photo department at the Museum of Modern Art and the education department at the Met.
